In short
Readlang Mobile is an iPhone and iPad app for reading books and articles in a foreign language. Tap a word and the translation appears in the line you are reading; tap the first and the last word of a phrase to translate the whole phrase. By default the translation comes from Google Translate; in the settings you can switch to Apple Translate, which runs on the device. The library is graded from A1 to C1, and the free plan covers 30 translations a day.

Questions
The short version
Which languages can I read in?
About twenty: the languages Apple Translation supports on your device, among them English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. You pick your native language once in the settings. The eight languages listed in the App Store are the languages of the app’s interface, not the languages you can read in. Sample texts in ten languages.
Can I read articles from the web?
Yes. Paste a link and the text opens in the reader, every word tappable just like in a book.
Can I upload my own book?
Yes, EPUB files are supported in Premium. The free version opens the whole library: public-domain books sorted from A1 to C1.
How do I remember the words I look up?
Every word you translate is saved automatically. In Premium you can practice the saved words with example sentences, multiple choice and a game. There is no export to Anki or CSV.
Is there audio?
Some books come with audiobooks that highlight the current word: listen and read at the same time, and translate a word without stopping the playback.
Does it work offline?
Partly. By default the translation comes from Google Translate, which needs a connection. Without one, the app switches to Apple Translate, which works on the device if the language pack for your pair is downloaded. A book has to be opened online once.
What is included for free?
30 translations a day, phrases up to 6 words, the whole library and articles by link. Premium removes the translation limit and unlocks EPUB uploads.
Is there an Android version?
The app is currently available for iPhone and iPad.
Is Readlang Mobile the official Readlang app?
No. Readlang Mobile is a separate app made by an independent developer. It is not affiliated with Readlang (readlang.com), the web reader, which has no native app for iOS or Android. Readlang, WatchLang and Readlang Mobile: who makes what.
